Which Black Forest?
Despite being situated in leafy Andwell in Hampshire, the 'Black Forest' in our name, is in fact a reference to the magical Black Forest of South West Germany.
A beautiful part of a fascinating country, the Black Forest is home to some of the world's best alcoholic drinks, together with some of the most spectacular scenery. Not least that of the South West which borders with France and Switzerland.

Why Germany?
Founder and hands-on MD, Sandip Patidar, has a long association with Germany; he studied engineering in Passau, whilst his father was a Doctor from Heidelberg.
A fluent German speaker, with roots in Central Africa (where his grandfather was a distributor of Zambian beer, no less!), Sandy has always had a profound admiration for diverse cultural values.
This, together with his enterprising nature and his genial disposition has given Sandy and Black Forest Beers an enviable reputation as the go-to import partner for outstanding German producers.

Our Range of German Drinks
Whilst our association is firmly with the Black Forest, we have extended our arm into nearby regions in order to continue to source the finest drinks producers that Southern Germany has to offer.
Alongside Rothaus, we also represent the likes of Oechsner (Würzburg), Bembel With Care (Weinheim) and Marder (very remote Southern Germany).

Black Forest Beers HQ
We’re based right next to the River Lyde, on the site of Andwell Brewing. Five minutes from Junction 5 off the M3.
From here, we receive weekly fresh product from Germany which we ready for dispatch; whether it’s us delivering in our own vehicles or individual distributors or retailers coming to collect.
We also sell bottles of German beer and cider for connoisseurs to enjoy at home via our retail website germandrinks.co.uk.
